NFL player makes unexpected cameo in Taylor Swift music video

Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford surprised fans by appearing in Taylor Swift's new music video for the single Patient Zero, which premiered during the MTV Video Music Awards. Stafford joined actor Colin Farrell and his own wife, Kelly Stafford, for multiple scenes in the visual project.

The cameo debut coincided with a challenging Sunday Night Football matchup where the Rams suffered a 30-26 defeat against the Denver Broncos, leaving the team with a 1-2 record early in the season. Meanwhile, fellow Los Angeles starting quarterback Justin Herbert previously made a music video appearance earlier in the year, as both signal-callers navigate difficult starts for their respective franchises.
