Natalie Nakase Handed $500 Punishment Before Dream Take 2-1 Lead Against the Valkyries in WNBA Finals

The Golden State Valkyries fell to the Atlanta Dream 97-71 in their second straight Finals loss, leaving them trailing 2-1 in the series. During the third quarter, Valkyries head coach Natalie Nakase was assessed a technical foul for arguing with officials after a Gabby Williams offensive foul call against Jordin Canada.

The WNBA's updated penalty structure means Nakase'1s first postseason technical results in a $500 fine.

Angel Reese of the Dream is one win away from a championship,-and she recorded a 21-point, 12-rebound double-double to lead her team to victory. Williams for the Valkyries also struggled, finishing with 15 points on 5-for-18 shooting.
