Musician says Patriots owner Robert Kraft banned him from playing at stadium

" The hip-hop artist had previously voiced pro-Palestinian viewpoints during an early September performance at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. According to Macklemore, Kraft, who is Jewish, objected to these expressions and insisted that the opening act be taken off the schedule before upcoming concerts on September 25 and 26 at Gillette Stadium, the Foxborough venue operated by Kraft Group.

Macklemore asserted that Kraft communicated directly with Sheeran, warning that the Gillette Stadium dates would be called off entirely if the rapper took the stage. Furthermore, the musician stated that Kraft cautioned Sheeran that additional venues across the country would scrap tour stops if Macklemore remained part of the roster.

Following the dispute, the rapper was officially excluded from the tour.
