The Atlanta Braves are preparing for arbitration negotiations this offseason, with five players set to face salary adjustments based on new projections from MLB Trade Rumors. Among them, pitcher Bryce Elder stands out as a breakout candidate, poised for a significant pay bump from his current $810,000 salary to a projected $4 million—his first arbitration-eligible season.
Dylan Lee, another key arm, could also see a substantial increase, jumping from $2.2 million to an estimated $4.2 million. The Braves will also negotiate with Michael Grove ($1 million projected), James Karinchak ($1.1 million, despite a split contract), and Joey Wentz, whose salary remains unchanged at $900,000.
The team’s roster adjustments continue, as Luke Williams was recently designated for assignment following the selection of Danny Young’s contract, reducing the arbitration-eligible group to five players. These projections offer early insight into potential financial shifts ahead of December’s salary arbitration trials, where negotiations could become contentious—particularly for Elder, whose first arbitration could set a precedent for future deals.
