MLB Playoff Roundup: Austin Riley’s blast stuns Phillies

The opening round of the postseason brought plenty of drama across the league. In the American League, the Yankees dominated the Red Sox behind a stellar pitching performance from Cam Schlittler and a nine-run offensive outburst led by Ben Rice to take the series lead.

Meanwhile, the White Sox secured an early advantage against the Astros following a productive outing in Houston. Austin Riley delivered the decisive blow for the Braves in the National League by launching a crucial late-inning home run to overcome the Phillies.
