The Milwaukee Brewers capped their regular season with a 6-4 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals at American Family Field, securing both a three-game sweep and a franchise milestone with their 103rd win of the year.
Pitcher Jacob Misiorowski delivered five scoreless innings in his final regular season appearance before the postseason, hitting up to 101.5 miles per hour while lowering his ERA ahead of a likely Cy Young Award. The Brewers' offense generated early run support as Garrett Mitchell, Jake Bauers, Jackson Chourio, and Brice Turang hit four consecutive singles off Cardinals starting pitcher Andre Pallante in the opening frame.
Turang's infield single brought home his 100th RBI of the season, followed quickly by Christian Yelich and Cooper Pratt driving in additional runs to build an early lead. Gary Sanchez added a two-run home run to right field in the third inning, his 12th of the season, while Thomas Saggese recorded hits for St.
Louis including a second-inning fly ball that glanced off Sal Frelick's glove.
