A recent survey of 220 Michigan supporters indicates that 73.2% favor replacing starting quarterback Bryce Underwood with freshman Tommy Carr. This sentiment follows a 3-2 start to the season, highlighted by consecutive losses to Iowa and Minnesota, with Underwood struggling to a 59.3% completion rate and four interceptions.

While head coach Kyle Whittingham has previously lauded Carr's composure, it remains uncertain if he will bench his starter before the upcoming October 17 matchup against Penn State.
