Former Australia skipper Michael Clarke has endorsed India wrist-spinner Kuldeep Yadav as the premier multi-format bowler in international cricket ahead of an upcoming ODI series against West Indies. During an appearance on the Beyond23 Cricket Podcast, Clarke highlighted Yadav's impressive career figures across all three formats, noting his 80 Test wickets at 23.36, 194 scalps in ODIs, and 95 dismissals in T20Is with an economy rate below seven.
However, this assessment faced disagreement from former England international Monty Panesar, who instead awarded the top multi-format mantle to South Africa's Keshav Maharaj due to his exceptional control and tactical execution in both defense and attack. Maharaj boasts 218 Test scalps and strong limited-overs statistics, and is currently participating in a series against Australia, while Yadav prepares for India's three-match assignment beginning September 27.
