Micah Parsons, the Packers' star pass rusher, has made it clear that his recovery from a torn ACL will not be rushed, even as speculation swirled about his potential return for a high-profile matchup against his former team, the Cowboys. In a recent podcast appearance, Parsons emphasized that his health is the top priority, dismissing any narrative of seeking revenge or playing for added drama in the upcoming Sunday Night Football game at Lambeau Field.
He noted that returning too soon could risk further injury, stressing the importance of addressing the underlying weaknesses that contributed to his initial ACL tear. The four-time Pro Bowler, who joined Green Bay in a blockbuster trade last August, has already made a significant impact with 12.5 sacks in 14 games before his season-ending injury in December.
Packers coach Matt LaFleur has indicated that Parsons is progressing but has not yet been medically cleared to return, highlighting the rigorous testing and gradual reintegration process required after such a major injury.
