Messi completes purchase of second Spanish club

Football icon Lionel Messi has added a second Spanish team to his portfolio by finalizing his takeover of CD Eldense, pending official governing body clearance. The historic team currently sits near the bottom of the second tier standings following a sluggish start to the campaign.

This transaction follows the veteran forward's earlier acquisition of Cornella in the spring. Messi remains active in North America with Inter Miami after hanging up his boots for his national squad earlier this year.
