Mercedes aims to end pole drought with upcoming Malaysia F1 upgrades

Mercedes has announced plans to introduce its next significant technical update at the impending Malaysian Grand Prix, targeting a return to qualifying dominance at the front of the grid. Prior to this upcoming development, the team had not deployed a primary car modification since the Montreal round back in May, relying mostly on smaller adjustments instead.

Despite the pause between major technical overhauls, the squad maintains command over the 2026 title race. Mercedes currently holds a 145-point buffer at the summit of the championship standings over closest challenger Ferrari.
