Memphis secured a dominant 59-8 road victory over Charlotte on Saturday after weather forecasts prompted an earlier kickoff time of 10:00 a.m. Quarterback Marcus Stokes spearheaded the offense by completing 20 of 25 passes for 318 yards and five touchdowns while adding 61 rushing yards.
Receiving targets Hunter Tipton, Jermane Hayes, Jemyri Davis, and Stonka Burnside all hauled in scoring passes, with Tipton securing two of them. Defensively, the victors forced turnovers through an interception by Ian Foster and a forced fumble by Chauncey Logan Jr., while reserves Dallan Hayden and Jordan Thompson later contributed rushing scores to close out the blowout.
