Masters runners chase England places at Betley Farm

More than two hundred distance runners will gather this Saturday for the inaugural English Masters Cross Country Championships, which serve as the selection trial for the upcoming international fixture in Ireland. The top three finishers in every age category automatically secure their spots on the English squad heading to Abbotstown this November.

Among the notable entrants is former European cross-country champion Gemma Steel, who highlights a competitive W40 division alongside last year's age-group winner Katie Latham. Additional contenders aiming for international selection across various age brackets include Tracy Rogers, Sarah Hunter, Nicola Sutton, Julia Jagger, Lindsay Skinner, Rebecca Luxton, Jane and Juliet Juliet Potter, Louisa Powell-Smith, Elizabeth Renondeau, Alina Stepanchuk, and Donna Sherwin.
