Marcus Mariota puts up important numbers, back-breaking plays vs. Seahawks — Daily Slop

Stepping in for the injured Jayden Daniels during the home opener, veteran quarterback Marcus Mariota guided the squad to a crucial victory despite a severely depleted roster missing five starters due to physical ailments. The defense contributed significantly by forcing three turnovers, highlighted by a fourth-quarter interception returned for a touchdown by backup linebacker Kain Medrano.

Mariota capitalized on the short fields created by those defensive plays, successfully converting them into scoring drives that secured the win. As the team prepares for a lengthy flight to London ahead of an upcoming matchup against the Colts, uncertainty remains regarding how long the backup will continue to helm the offense while the primary starter recovers on a week-to-week basis.
