Marc Márquez took a lighthearted jab at Aprilia after a tense Sprint race in Malaysia, where he clashed with Ai Ogura in a series of aggressive maneuvers. The Ducati rider, who finished second in the Sprint despite battling Ogura—including a sharp counterpass at Turn 5—later joked to his team about an imaginary ‘meeting’ with the Trackhouse rider over the incident.
Márquez admitted he had made an error off the line, hitting a limiter shift that left him vulnerable to Ogura’s push at the first turn. The incident followed a rocky qualifying session, where Márquez struggled with gear selection, sliding three times in Turns 13 and 14 before exiting Turn 14 poorly.
He later won the main race on Sunday, his first victory at Sepang since 2019 and his third MotoGP win of the season, setting up a title push as he heads to Qatar this weekend.
