Malik Nabers thought he wasn't playing

New York Giants wideout Malik Nabers made an unexpected return in Week 1 after initially believing he would not take the field. The 23-year-old third-year playmaker had been listed as questionable leading up to the Sunday Night Football showdown against the Dallas Cowboys while working his way back from a torn ACL sustained nearly a full year prior during the previous campaign.

Despite doubts surrounding his availability, Nabers was cleared to suit up at MetLife Stadium and went on to haul in six catches totaling 69 yards. His productive outing helped propel New York to a 28-20 victory over Dallas, securing head coach John Harbaugh his inaugural win with the club.
