New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers returned to the gridiron in Week 1, helping deliver a 28-20 home victory over the Dallas Cowboys at MetLife Stadium. The game marked his first appearance in 350 days following an ACL tear in his right knee, handing head coach John Harbaugh his inaugural win with the team.
Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart shared that Harbaugh personally tackled the 23-year-old receiver to demonstrate he was ready to withstand physical contact following knee surgery.
Nabers had remained uncertain about his availability right up until pregame warmups, even advising his relatives to skip attending so they would not be disappointed if he stayed sidelined. Once active, he collected six receptions totaling 69 yards to power the Giants past their division rivals.
