Lydia Ko denies giving controversial golf lesson to South Korea's first lady

Lydia Ko issued a public denial on Instagram regarding allegations that she provided a private golf session to Kim Hea Kyung, the wife of President Lee Jae Myung, on a day when a destructive fire broke out in Seoul. The claims originated from a Facebook statement by politician Joo Jin-woo, prompting Ko to threaten legal action against unverified rumors and leading the ruling Democratic Party to announce criminal complaints against the politician.

Ko, who was occupied with sponsor obligations at the time of the alleged lesson, is preparing to travel to Malaysia to participate in the Maybank Championship.
