All 5 DAZN-exclusive NBA teams strike simulcast deals with DirecTV

DirecTV announced that all five NBA franchises previously locked into exclusive streaming contracts with DAZN will now have their local telecasts simulcast on the satellite provider. Subscribers using the Choice package or higher can access games for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Indiana Pacers, Memphis Grizzlies, Minnesota Timberwolves, and San Antonio Spurs.

This development represents a notable pivot for teams that initially secured higher rights fees by committing strictly to the streaming platform. Fans in these regions can now choose between DAZN and DirecTV to view matchups, though early streaming subscribers who purchased DAZN specifically for exclusive access are left without refunds one week into the season.

It remains uncertain if these clubs will pursue agreements with additional cable and satellite operators.
