During media day ahead of training camp, Los Angeles franchise star Luka Doncic expressed enthusiasm regarding the squad's offseason acquisitions, highlighting a collection of underappreciated players added to support the team. Among the arrivals is 7-foot-2 center Walker Kessler, secured via a massive multiyear contract alongside multiple draft picks and swaps after Doncic specifically pushed for his recruitment.

The front office, directed by general manager Rob Pelinka, also brought in several other new contributors including Quentin Grimes, Sandro Mamukelashvili, Collin Sexton, Ziaire Williams, Matisse Thybulle, Cameron Carr, Kevon Looney, and Jaden Hardy.
