LSU injury report: Sam Leavitt, Whit Weeks, Trey'Dez Green status updates

Following a dominant thirty-five to six victory in their initial conference matchup of the season, the squad faces a mounting injury crisis that threatens their upcoming schedule. Coach Lane Kiffin acknowledged that managing this many significant roster losses so early in the year is completely unprecedented for his program.

Quarterback Sam Leavitt managed a hamstring issue during the recent contest, completing seventy-four percent of his passes for three hundred twelve yards and two touchdowns, though his status for the next game against McNeese remains uncertain. Meanwhile, linebacker Whit Weeks will miss an extended period with a fractured fibula, tight end Trey'Dez Green is sidelined with a timeline pointing toward a possible November return, and safety Dashawn Spears has been ruled out for the year following an ACL tear.
