LSU football climbs US LBM Coaches Poll after Week 5 win

Following a dominant victory over McNeese, the LSU squad advanced to the tenth position in the latest US LBM Coaches Poll. During the matchup, the offense generated more than seven hundred yards through one hundred one plays, marking a historic output for the program.

Quarterback Sam Leavitt connected on eighteen of twenty-three passing attempts with three scores, while sophomore ball-carrier Harlem Berry contributed a personal-best one hundred twenty-five ground yards. Defensively, Deuce Geralds recorded another sack to bring his season total to five.

In the top tier of the rankings, Texas and Georgia maintained the first and second spots, respectively, ahead of other conference rivals like Alabama. LSU now sits just ahead of Ole Miss despite an earlier head-to-head loss, with an upcoming contest scheduled against Kentucky.
