London City's new training centre 'better than most Premier League clubs' - Kang

London City Lionesses owner Michele Kang announced that the squad will relocate to a newly designed training complex within the coming twelve months. According to the project's architect, the dedicated female facility is projected to outshine the training grounds utilized by most men's Premier League sides.

The project continues a period of heavy backing from Kang, who recently strengthened the Women's Super League club by recruiting two-time Ballon d'Or winner Alexia Putellas, as she seeks to end the practice of handling female footballers like undersized men.

Kang, whose background in sports ownership includes America's Washington Spirit, purposefully targeted London City because it operated apart from any men's setup, a rarity shared at the time only by Durham in the English game. She linked her drive to elevate women's athletics to lessons learned during her childhood in a traditional South Korean household, where her father encouraged his three daughters to dedicate full effort toward their goals regardless of their gender.
