Lions avoid collapse, narrowly beat Saints in overtime after blowing a 21-point lead

In a wild Week 1 regular-season matchup at Ford Field, the Detroit Lions held on for a 31-30 overtime victory over the New Orleans Saints. Detroit had surrendered a 21-point advantage during the second half, allowing New Orleans to battle all the way back and extend the game beyond regulation.
