Liam Coen on Brian Thomas not playing in second half: Guys have to make plays

During Sunday's 34-31 defeat against the Texans in London, Jaguars head coach Liam Coen benched wide receiver Brian Thomas for the entire second half. Thomas failed to secure any of his three targets during the first two quarters, including a dropped pass, which opened the door for Travis Hunter to log his most active offensive performance of the season.

Following a similar catchless outing in Week 5, Coen addressed his evaluation of the 2024 first-round selection on a weekly basis while emphasizing that players must convert opportunities into production. Although general manager James Gladstone previously dismissed trade rumors surrounding Thomas in March, his recent benching and consecutive games without a reception have raised questions regarding his long-term standing in Jacksonville.
