Mets Morning News: Rays one win away from World Series matchup between two would be first-time champions

Ryan Lambert is beginning his stint in the Arizona Fall League strongly following a tough year for the Mets bullpen. Meanwhile, executive staff changes are underway for the Washington Nationals as Ted Towne, Chris Zaber, and Jonathan Stahl depart the organization.

In postseason action, the Tampa Bay Rays secured a 3-1 victory over the Cleveland Guardians during the fifth contest of their series. Drew Rasmussen pitched seven strong innings, positioning his club one win away from a potential championship matchup against the Milwaukee Brewers.
