LeBron James makes home preseason debut for 76ers with well-rounded performance as Joel Embiid shines

LeBron James made his first home appearance in a Philadelphia 76ers jersey during the preseason finale against the Boston Celtics, drawing the loudest cheers before Joel Embiid’s introduction. After missing an early three‑pointer, James got his first points with a fast‑break dunk off a lob from Tyrese Maxey and later added a layup following a screen, finishing with eight points, eight rebounds and seven assists in 25 minutes.

Embiid led the Sixers with 23 points, complemented by eight rebounds and five assists, while Maxey contributed 22 points and six assists. Former Sixer Jaylen Brown, now with the Celtics, logged 20 points, eight rebounds, three assists and two blocks before exiting in the fourth quarter.

Coach Nick Nurse pulled James with just over three minutes left in the third period.
