Larkin scores in return to lineup as Red Wings deal Senators 1st loss of the season 5-3

Dylan Larkin returned to the Detroit Red Wings lineup and found the back of the net just 13 minutes into his first game since requesting a trade, helping his team snap a winless start. The Red Wings defeated the Ottawa Senators 5-3, handing Ottawa its first loss of the season while Detroit recorded its inaugural victory.

Alex DeBrincat contributed a pair of goals in the win, and despite being booed by the crowd at the start of the game, Larkin’s goal shifted the atmosphere as the home fans reacted to his scoring impact.
