Lando Norris rues online abuse, explains Franco Colapinto apology

Formula 1 title holder Lando Norris recently felt compelled to reach out to competitor Franco Colapinto with an apology. The gesture came after Norris publicly criticized the Argentinian competitor for instigating a multi-car collision at the preceding weekend's Azerbaijan Grand Prix, even advocating for a temporary race suspension against him.

That severe reaction triggered a severe wave of digital harassment directed at the reigning champion, prompting him to extend an apology to Colapinto in an effort to defuse the situation.
