Lakers vs. Clippers Preview: Battle of LA, round two

The Los Angeles Lakers are preparing for the second chapter of their crosstown rivalry against the L.A. Clippers on Wednesday evening at the Intuit Dome.

Following a recent victory against their local rivals last week, the Lakers enter this road matchup holding a 3-1 record while looking to bounce back from their initial defeat of the season. The Clippers will host the contest without several sidelined players, including Bradley Beal, Rui Hachimura, Brandon Ingram, Jordan Miller, Yanic Konan Niederhauser, and Max Strus.

During their previous encounter, the Clippers heavily pressured the interior defense by capitalizing on aggressive paint attacks and second-chance opportunities. The visitors will rely heavily on Luka Dončić and Austin Reaves to shoulder the offensive load once again, while hoping for another stellar contribution from Walker Kessler after his efficient shooting performance last time out.
