The Los Angeles Lakers are reportedly exploring a trade with the Milwaukee Bucks to acquire forward Jericho Sims, according to league sources. In exchange, Los Angeles could send former first-round pick Dalton Knecht and second-round draft capital to Milwaukee.
The Lakers, currently featuring center trio Walker Kessler, Kevon Looney, and Sandro Mamukelashvili, are aiming to both reduce their roster size and bolster their frontcourt depth. Sims, a 6-foot-10-inch athlete, has spent his career bouncing between the Knicks and Bucks, logging a career-high 1,318 minutes last season across 67 games.
While his offensive game is limited beyond dunks—nearly 60% of his made field goals are putbacks—he’s an efficient finisher at the rim (80.3% on shots within three feet) and could provide a secondary playmaking option alongside Luka Dončić and Austin Reaves. However, skepticism remains about whether the trade will materialize, with sources expressing doubts about its completion despite ongoing discussions.
