Kyle Whittingham Admits Costly Bryce Underwood Decision Against Michigan State

Following a 15-6 defeat to Michigan State, head coach Kyle Whittingham expressed regret for not replacing starting quarterback Tommy Carr with Bryce Underwood. Despite the offense producing only 192 total yards and suffering four turnovers, the coaching staff opted to keep Carr on the field throughout the contest.

Whittingham noted that while the decision was ultimately his, he relied on input from offensive assistants who believed Carr provided the best opportunity to succeed based on weekly practice performance.
