San Francisco fullback Kyle Juszczyk successfully appealed a pair of league-imposed fines totaling $29,852. The penalties were originally assessed following a Week 2 victory against Miami, where officials claimed his post-catch celebration mimicked beer consumption and violated sportsmanship policies.
Juszczyk maintained he was simply referencing his Juice nickname, a gesture fans at the stadium frequently encourage. An appeals officer ultimately rescinded the financial sanctions on Wednesday, clearing the veteran of the alleged infractions.
This marks a rare disciplinary hurdle for the ten-time Pro Bowler, who has previously been recognized for his commitment to sportsmanship throughout his career.
