Knicks begin NBA Cup title defense with shot at revenge against LeBron James, 76ers

The reigning tournament champions are launching their latest defense of the NBA Cup with an upcoming road game in Philadelphia, aiming to avenge a narrow season-opening defeat. New York enters this group stage matchup carrying momentum from successive victories against Detroit and Chicago, fueled by a stellar 38-point outing from Jalen Brunson.

Meanwhile, the home side continues to rely on the formidable output of Tyrese Maxey, though squad decisions loom as management declines a future team option for young forward Pacôme Dadiet.
