Rumors suggest a potential reunion between the Chicago Bears and pass rusher Khalil Mack as the trade deadline approaches in roughly one month. The Bears currently hold a 3-1 record and possess roughly $9 million in available salary cap space, while the 0-4 Los Angeles Chargers may look to offload contracts soon.
Mack, who is 35 years old, has recorded three sacks across four appearances this season. Although the Bears previously surrendered significant draft capital to acquire him in 2018, any current transaction would likely require a much smaller return.
Mack is currently playing in the final year of his contract, which carries an $8 million base salary for 2026 and leaves him with $5.77 million in remaining pay for the current campaign.
