Kent promoted as Middlesex beat Northants

Middlesex secured a seven-wicket win in their County Championship fixture to wrap up their campaign and simultaneously seal promotion for Kent into the top division. Northamptonshire were dismissed for 285 in their second innings, aided by Saif Zaib reaching 110 alongside contributions from Yuzvendra Chahal, while Tom Helm claimed four wickets.

Chasing a target of 134, Middlesex overcame an early stumble thanks to a century partnership between Max Holden, who made 50, and Ben Geddes, who finished unbeaten on 59.
