Kavanagh and Courtney-Bryant lead SportsShoes Podium Home Nations fields

Top distance runners Jack Kavanagh and Melissa Courtney-Bryant are set to headline the upcoming SportsShoes Podium Home Nations 5km in Cardiff, which doubles as the 2026 UK 5km Road Race Championships. Kavanagh brings a personal best of 13:34 to the men's field, where he will face rivals including Finley Proffitt, Andrew Penney, Joseph Tuffin, Charlie Bisley, and Miles Clisham.

On the women's side, Courtney-Bryant holds a 15:27 best and enters the race following a disrupted season caused by a calf injury. She will be tested by a strong lineup featuring Emily Haggard Kearney, Clara Evans-Graham, Charlotte Dannatt, and Jemima Pearson on the fast multi-lap course at Bute Park.
