New York Knicks center Karl-Anthony Towns has grown increasingly frustrated with stalled contract negotiations, despite his willingness to accept a reduced salary. Towns, who won a championship last season, is seeking a four-year deal worth up to $277 million but has reportedly been offered a significantly lower figure—around $200 million—by the franchise.
The 32-year-old star emphasized his desire to stay with the team, stating that current discussions are far from resolving his concerns. Meanwhile, the Knicks are reportedly aiming to stay under the league’s second salary cap threshold while also preparing for an upcoming extension with point guard Jalen Brunson, who will become eligible next year.
Towns, along with teammates Josh Hart and Miles McBride, remains locked in talks until June, though progress appears minimal at this stage.
