Notre Dame secured a 37-26 victory over North Carolina on Saturday, propelled by senior wide receiver Jordan Faison. Faison tallied eight catches, 132 receiving yards, and two touchdowns, marking the first time a player at his position hit those statistical marks in a single contest for the program since 2016.
One standout score came via a 39-yard pass from quarterback CJ Carr that Faison secured with a diving grab in the end zone. Equanimeous St.
Brown was the last Fighting Irish pass catcher to achieve matching numbers in a game, doing so against Syracuse in October of that same year. With these latest contributions, Faison has accumulated 25 receptions for 371 yards and four scores this season, sitting 311 yards away from reaching 2,000 career receiving yards and entering the school's top ten all-time leaderboard.
