Jon Jones, a UFC Hall of Famer and one of the most dominant fighters in mixed martial arts history, has revealed his biggest career regret: missing the UFC Freedom 250 event held on the White House lawn in June. The heavyweight champion, who has redefined the sport across multiple weight classes over nearly two decades, admitted that the White House card remains one of the few nights he should have been part of.
Jones, who defeated Stipe Miocic—a fighter often regarded as the greatest heavyweight of all time—when both were in their later years, expressed remorse over not participating in what would have been a historic moment. While he rarely looks back on decisions with regret, this omission stands out as a notable exception.
Jones also addressed speculation about a potential return to the Octagon, clarifying that while he isn’t currently planning another fight, he remains open to the possibility. Still undergoing drug testing, he left the door ajar for a possible comeback, though he acknowledged it was unlikely.
The UFC, which has long relied on Jones’ star power, would undoubtedly welcome his return, even if their relationship has been contentious over the years. Fans, too, would likely celebrate a final showdown from the GOAT.
