Pace bowler Jofra Archer has committed to Sussex for the 2027 season, marking his twelfth year with the county side. The 31-year-old has secured 223 first-class wickets for the club since his 2016 debut, a tenure that includes his return to red-ball cricket in 2025 following a lengthy injury absence.
Incoming head coach Matt Walker will oversee the team as Archer continues his long-standing association with the club. Walker praised the decision to retain the fast bowler, noting his significant value to the squad's future ambitions.
