Jets unit’s domination shows the key to unlocking offensive promise

Geno Smith marked his first starting appearance for the New York Jets since 2016 by guiding the squad to an opening-week 23-10 triumph against the Tennessee Titans in Nashville. New York's offense controlled the tempo throughout the contest, amassing 367 yards, orchestrating a sustained 19-play drive, and retaining possession for upwards of 38 minutes.

Following the victory, head coach Aaron Glenn remarked that he fully anticipated such high-level execution from the veteran quarterback.

Both Smith and running back Breece Hall directed their praise to the offensive front, which kept Smith upright without allowing a single sack despite Tennessee's heavily funded pass-rushing unit. Smith also openly critiqued the opposing defense for failing to mount any pressure during the Week 1 clash.
