Jets’ receiver injuries continue to pile up as door could open for big Kenyon Sadiq role

The New York Jets are facing significant depth issues ahead of their upcoming matchup against the Detroit Lions. Tight end Mason Taylor has been ruled out due to a thumb injury sustained against Green Bay, opening a potential opportunity for Kenyon Sadiq to shoulder a larger offensive load.

In addition to Taylor, head coach Aaron Glenn announced that safety Minkah Fitzpatrick and linebacker Kiko Mauigoa will also miss the weekend contest, while running back and kick returner Kene Nwangwu is listed as doubtful with a back issue.

Meanwhile, the team's receiver corps has drawn further concern regarding Adonai Mitchell. Mitchell appeared on the injury report with a finger issue, leaving his playing status uncertain as the team prepares to face Detroit.

However, subsequent fantasy updates suggested he may avoid a fracture and could potentially suit up with a protective wrap.
