Jets don’t get much NFL power ranking love after their Week 1 win over the Titans

New York kicked off the regular season on a high note, improving to 1-0 thanks to an authoritative victory against Tennessee. Behind a steady and effective performance from quarterback Geno Smith, the roster appeared polished and in full control during the opener.

Despite the convincing result, the performance failed to generate significant upward movement on national evaluation boards. NFL.com placed the undefeated squad at number 24 on its league-wide hierarchy heading into the next slate of contests.
