Jeffrey Simmons trade grades for Bears-Titans blockbuster for massive haul of picks

The Chicago Bears bolstered their defensive front on Thursday by acquiring star defensive tackle Jeffrey Simmons from the Tennessee Titans in exchange for a substantial draft package. The blockbuster transaction sends two first-round selections and a fourth-round pick to Tennessee, while Chicago receives a fifth-round selection in 2028.

The move arrives as the Bears pursue a deep postseason run, adding interior pass-rushing strength alongside teammate Kentavius Street to support an offense driven by Caleb Williams and Ben Johnson. Meanwhile, the Titans secured a massive haul of future assets as they pivot toward a defensive rebuild.
