Jeffery Simmons trade grades: Bears earn high marks by going all-in, Titans start yet another rebuild

The Chicago Bears have acquired defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons from the Tennessee Titans in a significant mid-season trade. Chicago sent their 2027 and 2028 first-round picks, along with a 2027 fourth-round selection, to Tennessee in exchange for Simmons and a 2028 fifth-round pick.

The Bears are currently 5-2 and look to bolster their defensive front for a postseason run, while the 1-6 Titans appear to be entering a rebuilding phase. This move follows recent roster adjustments across the league, including San Francisco's addition of DeForest Buckner.

Questions now remain regarding the future of other Tennessee players, such as running back Tony Pollard.
