Jaxson Dart to have MRI Tuesday

New York Giants starting quarterback Jaxson Dart suffered a left knee injury during the opening drive of a Monday Night Football matchup against the Los Angeles Rams. Dart absorbed heavy blows from opposing defenders Josaiah Stewart and Byron Young before leaving the field and getting replaced by Jameis Winston.

Initial evaluations point to a potential medial collateral ligament sprained knee, though general manager Joe Schoen indicated the team is hopeful a more severe outcome was avoided. Dart will undergo an MRI on Tuesday to confirm the extent of the damage after being ruled out for the remainder of the contest.
