Jared Curtis injury update: Will Vanderbilt QB play against Georgia today?

Freshman signal-caller Jared Curtis will miss Vanderbilt's road contest against the second-ranked Georgia Bulldogs due to an undisclosed injury sustained in the previous matchup against Auburn. Pete Thamel reported that the star quarterback, who previously held a verbal commitment to Georgia before switching his allegiance to the Commodores, was absent from uniform after initially being labeled a game-time decision during pregame evaluations.

With Curtis unable to take the field, coach Clark Lea will turn to Blaze Berlowitz to direct the offense against the Bulldogs. Berlowitz previously opened the campaign as the primary starter before yielding the job to Curtis in mid-September, and he will now step back into the leadership role following a week of increased practice repetitions at his original position.
