Jake Sanderson Reinjured In Senators’ Season Opener In Toronto

Ottawa's backend suffered an early blow as key blueliner Jake Sanderson exited the team's opening contest prematurely. After managing merely six shifts during the initial period, the defender was ruled out by the club at the start of the second stanza following a brief physical clash along the boards with Nick Paul.

This setback arrives on the heels of an interrupted training camp where recurring health troubles limited his exhibition action, raising fresh concerns for a defense corps already missing Artem Zub.
