Ivan Toney denies Soho nightclub assault

Footballer Ivan Toney appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court to formally deny a charge of assault occasioning actual bodily harm following an alleged incident involving Saber Da Silva at a Soho nightclub on December 6. The forward, whose career has included spells with Northampton Town, Wigan Athletic, Peterborough United, Brentford, and current club Al-Ahli, chose to have his case heard before a judge and jury at the Crown Court.

District Judge Briony Clarke released him on unconditional bail ahead of his next court appearance scheduled for October 29 at Southwark Crown Court.
